Theatre taught me acting: Manasa Joshi

Actress Manasa Joshi, who will be seen in the upcoming film Bahuparaak, has credit her acting skills to theatre, which helped her learn nuances of the art. The movie, directed by Suni and produced by Hemanth and Suresh Bairasandra, also has Srinagara Kitty and Meghana Raj in lead roles. Kitty will be seen in three roles in the movie — as Manas, Mani and Mouni.Manasa dons the role of Mouni’s wife, while Meghana is Manas and Mani’s wife.
“It was in theatre that I learnt to express various emotions and got the confidence to do different kinds of roles,” says Manasa, who has done considerable work in theatre. She says her role in the film is significant as it has an impact on Kitty’s life in the film. This trained Kathak dancer said that working with senior actors was enlightening. “It was a great experience to work a senior actor like Kitty. He gave me several tips on acting on the set,” says Manasa. The first schedule of Bahuparaak’s shooting has been canned, and work on the remaining bits of the film will commence soon.
