Mira Rajput fondly calls her hubby, Shahid Kapoor, as Shadoo. But Mira is not the only one in Shahid Kapoor’s family who is good with coining nicknames. Shahid’s younger brother, Ishaan Khattar, has a very cute and interesting nickname for his bhabhi, Mira Rajput. Ishaan posted a picture of his sister-in-law, Mira, with his mother, Neelima Azim, on Instagram and captioned it, “My very own bhaabidoll.” [sic] Reportdely, Ishaan and his ‘bhabhidoll’ get along really well. Looks like the family is having a gala time post the wedding.

Emotional Speech: Shahid Kapoor, who is one of the biggest stars today, decided to get married in the presence of near and dear ones. His wedding celebrations had 45 guests from his side and 105 guests from Mira's side. The actor, who swept away all the awards last year for his outstanding performance in Haider, got emotional during his wedding. He was blessed by his three mothers on the day of his wedding. Apart from Shahid's biological mother, Neelima Azim, Pankaj Kapur's current wife, Supriya Pathak Kapur was also present to bless the newlyweds. Also present was Neelima Azim's ex-husband, Rajesh Khattar and his current wife, Vandana Sajnani. According to a Timesofindia.com report, Shahid gave an emotional speech during his wedding. In his speech, Shahid thanked his parents and also welcomed Mira to his family.

‘Saiyyan Superstar- introducing Mira Rajput’: Shahid and Mira took the nuptial vows in the presence of only their close friends and family. But they made sure that they enjoyed every moment of their wedding. However, of all the wedding ceremonies, the sangeet ceremony was one of the biggest highlight. Special arrangements were made to make the evening memorable and even though Mira didn't belong to Bollywood, the custom made posters lent a filmi touch to the wedding. ‘Mere Saiyaan Superstar’ was scribbled on the posters and Mira’s face was superimposed on the faces of Shahid’s co-stars.

Shahid plays Dhol at his own wedding: According to a Timesofindia.com report, special instructions were given to the guests to not to click pictures during any of the wedding functions. We all have seen Shahid donning different avatars in his films but Shahid was himself during the wedding and was seen having a good time with the guests present and his wife. In his baaraat, Shahid was seen playing the Dhol. The report also suggests that there was no music in the baaraat apart from that of dhols. And as per the report, when a dholwallah clicked Shahid dancing in his baaraat, the actor asked him to delete the photographs.

Danced to ‘Chitiyan Kalaiyaan’: In the fun-filled sangeet ceremony, Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor performed splendidly. The couple danced to 'Chittiyan kalaiyan' together. As is the trend, the couple has been christened as 'Shira' by the guests who attended the ceremony. The couple danced on many chartbusters from Shahid Kapoor's film and songs like ‘Tu mere agal...,’ ‘Tume se hi...,’ ‘Is this love...,’ were also played at the sangeet ceremony.

When Shahid went down on his knees: The staff, who were in charge of Shahid-Mira’s sangeet ceremony arrangements, tried to confuse the media on the day of the sangeet, by saying that the venue was decorated for birthday celebrations. They informed the media that it was guruji's birthday. But the media managed to get their hands on pictures and videos from the venue. One such adorable video shows Shahid going down on his knees during the sangeet ceremony. Shahid and Mira made a smashing entry on stage and were welcomed with loud cheers and hoots. When the couple were dancing, Shahid went down on his knees even as Mira continued to sway.
