When Amitabh Bachchan refused to accept Rs 10 lakh from Shah Rukh Khan

Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have worked together in several big banner films. While they played father-son in 2001 film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...', they played rivals in 2000 film 'Mohabbatein'. However, it has been revealed that Big B who played an important guest role of a nomad in Shah Rukh Khan's 2005 film 'Paheli' refused to accept his fee of Rs 10 lakh as a gesture of friendship. SRK had produced the film under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment and was signing a check of Rs 10 lakh for him to which the latter refused. He had reportedly given a letter of thanks to him on the behalf of his production house.

Most memorable cameos in Bollywood films

The lead actor or actress is the face of a film who takes the credit for the success as well as the failure of the project. While the story revolves around these central characters, we cannot deny the impact of some very powerful cameos who perform like an icing on the cake in the story and on screen. While many big stars humbly agree to make special guest appearances, some even become the talking point of the film due to their important presence. Check out some of the most special cameos in Bollywood film worth remembering…

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in ‘Ki & Ka’

Arjun Kapoor gets a rare opportunity to meet the Bachchans in the film ‘Ki & Ka’ as Jaya Bachchan invites him for lunch after being impressed from the house husband who encourages his wife to go out and make a career. The Bachchans lent their weight to the film and played a turning point as Jaya Bachchan gives a see-off gift for Kareena which comes with an eye-opening letter. How Big B didn’t look much pleased with Arjun in the film while wife Jaya Bachchan could not stop praising him, it was interesting to watch the whole scene shot in their real residence.

Salman Khan in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’

Right on time when Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Anjali manages to find his best friend Kajol and does all to unite them as a wish of her late mother played by Rani Mukerji, Salman Khan comes into the picture as the perfect groom for the single Kajol. With a guy as perfect as him, who could anyone convince her to walk away from him and call off their wedding until she discovers his love for her long lost buddy SRK aka Rahul. The cameo was much deserving and he gave a tough competition to counter Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic character, making it difficult for the girl to choose.
5/7

Ranbir Kapoor in ‘PK’

Aamir Khan was at his weird best in ‘PK’, one of the biggest blockbusters ever made. With eyes wide open and ears prominently standing out arriving in a totally naked form with only a radio to hide his modesty, the actor turned an alien who accidentally goes on to break blinding beliefs while searching for his locket he needed to go back home. And director Rajkumar Hirani called in none other than Ranbir Kapoor to give a remarkable ending to the film in a similar naked avatar. Now that’s called a totally unexpected cameo.

Salman Khan in ‘Judwaa 2’

Varun Dhawan idolises Salman Khan and went on to step into his shoes by playing a double role in the sequel of the superstar’s film ‘Judwaa’. But how could the film be complete without the Khan himself making a cameo in the film? Salman Khan made a double guest appearance in ‘Judwaa 2’ as the original Raja and Prem who return to meet the double avatars of Varun Dhawan. Well, that can be easily called a double googly.

Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ delved deep into complicated relationships revolving around one-sided love. While Ranbir Kapoor played the leading man in the film, he didn’t get any of the ladies at the end. Though he romanced the super glamourous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film, the lady, however, gave preference to her former husband Tahir Taliyar Khan played by Shah Rukh Khan. Now an actor of a stature as SRK only could play ex-hubby of a character as huge as that of Aishwarya’s in the film. And indeed, this was one of the high points of the film as he charmed the diva away from Ranbir.
