Bollywood stars wish fans on Baisakhi, Vishu

Akshay Kumar, who is currently shooting for Prabhudheva's film Singh Is Bliing in Punjab, is feeling happy and best ever this Baisakhi. Reason? The actor is shooting amidst lush golden fields of Punjab. Akshay tweeted a picture of himself with a decorated camel running across the field. He tweeted, "Running through the lush golden fields of Punjab...best feeling ever! Wishing you all a very Happy Baisakhi." [sic]. Director of the film, Prabhudheva, also tweeted, "Shooting in the golden fields for #SinghIsBliing." [sic]. The film, which is slated to release on October 2, 2015, will also star Amy Jackson and Lara Dutta.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the team of Dil Dhadakne Do celebrated Baisakhi in a very unique way. Anil Kapoor hosted a bash at his Juhu bungalow to unveil the trailer of the film, the report stated. The guest list included Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi. Reportedly, Sridevi bonded with Priyanka Chopra who was escorted by her brother Siddharth. Ranveer Singh, who was supposed to co-host the party with Anil, was laid up following his recent surgery. Rahul Bose, Shefali Shah and Vipul Shah were also present.

Further to reports, Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, Shirish Kunder and Farah Khan, and the newly-engaged Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena, Karan Johar and Anupam Kher also made merry. With Baisakhi creeping up as the clock struck 12, the revelers were in the mood for some gaana shaana. There's an unreleased song in the film, penned by Javed Akhtar and composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, which goes 'Gallan goriyaan', which everyone wanted to dance to, the report further stated.
