The star-studded 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards 2015 took place at The Dome at Worli's NSCI. The starry night saw host SRK taking digs at the audience present and celebs setting the stage on fire with their scintillating performances. Deepika Padukone's heartwarming speech:

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone went on to win the Best Actress Award at the 61st of the Britannia Filmfare Awards 2015. DP, who was also nominated for her role in Bajirao Mastani, went on to win the trophy for her titular role in Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku'. Dressed in a red gown and a sleek bun, the actress went on to collect her much-deserved award. While many stars dedicate their achievement to the producers, directors, co-stars, among others, DP went a step ahead and read out a heartwarming letter written to her by her dad. Her this gesture left audiences at the event teary-eyed. Deepika ended her speech with a promise to parents all over the world on behalf of all children - words that fetched her tremendous applause from the audience and a standing ovation from boyfriend, Ranveer Singh.

When Salman Khan 'Bhai-zoned' the audience

Trust Salman Khan to turn ordinary, everyday movements into legitimate dance steps. The superstar made a dashing entrance in a silver cage that hung above the audience as the soulful 'Main hoon hero tera' played in the background. Salman danced on a medley of his popular songs from his biggest hits, right from the inception of his career to his latest blockbuster. By the end of his act, the public had been 'Bhai-zoned'.

Alia to SRK - 'Off with your pants'

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt are all set to share screen space in Gauri Shinde's next. However, fans got a glimpse of the camaraderie between the two at the 61st Filmfare awards. The two passed crazy remarks at each other as Alia asked Shah Rukh Khan to become more of a 'cooler' host for the evening and do something which is 'out of the blue'. While doing so, she asked Shah Rukh to take off his pants in front of the entire audience. She later told him that she wanted to click a 'belfie' and asked him to do away with his pants. To which, SRK replied by saying that families are watching this show and that not all families are as 'edgy' as hers. The amazing rapport they share was clearly evident and we can't wait to see them on the silver screen.
