'Krishnavataram' is now tax-free in Uttar Pradesh
The special screening was organised in the wake of the state cabinet's expansion on the same day and drew a prominent gathering. According to the PTI report, among those present were Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, several cabinet ministers, and other elected representatives. According to an official statement, the auditorium echoed with chants of "Krishna-Krishna" and "Radhe-Radhe" throughout the screening. The CM also took to the stage to personally congratulate the cast and crew.
The CM directed the Information Department to arrange special screenings in every district of the state so that younger generations could engage meaningfully with India's cultural and spiritual legacy.
Yogi Adityanath's post about 'Krishnavataram'
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath took to his X account to congratulate the film team and also made the 'tax-free' announcement. The post read, "Today, in the dignified presence of Hon. Governor Smt. @anandibenpatel Ji, I participated in the special screening of the Hindi film Krishnavataram, based on the divine glory of Yogeshwar Lord Shri Krishna Ji, held in Lucknow with the Hon. members of the Cabinet."
It further read, "On this occasion, the artists associated with the film were also honored. The film Krishnavataram will be tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all members associated with the film."

The movie has been made from the perspective of Lord Krishna's one of the Ashtabharyas, Satyabhama. Sanskruti Jayana has played the role of Satyabhama in the movie. The actress is the granddaughter of the UP governor, Anandiben Patel.
