Happy Birthday, Ranveer Singh: Padmaavat to Gully Boy, highest-earning films of the birthday boy at the box office

Ranveer Singh, who made his Bollywood debut in 2010 has come a long way in his career. The skilled actor has never shied away from taking up challenging roles, in fact, on the contrary, he has risen to the occasion all the time and won over the audience with his stellar versatile performances.

While fans and several celebrities from the B-town have taken to social media to shower the talented actor with adorable wishes, we take a look at his highest-earning films of Ranveer at the box office.

Padmaavat

One of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most successful films 'Padmaavat' which starred Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead role faced a lot of issues prior and after it's release. But despite all the controversies, the period drama managed to earn Rs 282.28 crore at the box office. While Shahid and Deepika managed to impress the audience with their brilliant performances, it was Ranveer's stunning portrayal of Alauddin Khalji that stole the show.

Simmba

Ranveer teamed up with ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty to join his cop universe with 'Simmba' in 2018. The birthday boy stepped into the shoes of Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba, a fun-loving and witty police officer and managed to make his way into the hearts of the audience. The film which also featured Sara Ali Khan had managed to mint Rs 239.84 crore in the domestic circuit and gave all other films a tough challenge at the box office.

Bajirao Mastani

The trio of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone came together for yet another period drama and weaved their magic once again on the silver screen. While the intriguing storyline kept the audience on the edge of their seats, Ranveer's breathtaking performance helped the film allure the audience to the theatres. His enigmatic skills and charismatic looks along with stellar performances by Priyanka Chopra and Deepika helped the film rake Rs 183.75 crore at the box office.

Gully Boy

Bollywood's two most talented young actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt came together for Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' last year and broke several records. The film which won several awards last year had bagged Rs 134.24 crore in the domestic circuit. While Alia delivered an outstanding performance, it was Ranveer, who stole the show with his perfection as Murad Ahmed aka Gully Boy.

Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela

One of Bollywood's most popular couples, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, had teamed up for the first time on the silver screen in 2013 film 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela'. While their impeccable chemistry won over the audience, the film went on to mint Rs 112.97 crore in the domestic circuit.
