On targeting Bollywood

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was accused of targeting Aryan Khan and his family. Refuting all such reports, Sameer Wankhede told ETimes in an interview, “ “We are not targeting anyone at all. We have nothing against him. We have arrested more than 300 people in the last 10 months. Out of those, at the most, there would be about 4 to 5 known people. How can you say that we are targeting anyone? Most of those arrested in the last one year are hard-core, drug-related criminals.”

On Cruise raid case

The cruise ship raid is getting murkier by the day with new twists and turns. Talking about the case that also involves Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, NCB's director Sameer Wankhede has told the media that their case is strong. He said, "We and the prosecution will attempt that the case will go to a logical conclusion. Our case is strong and will present the same in the court."

On NBC's credibility

The NCB has been accused by a lot of people of their raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2 being "fake". According to the accusations, no narcotic drugs were found during it. In a press statement, Wankhede addressed all such accusations and said, “We are a highly competent and professional agency. For us, the prime importance is the NDPS act irrespective of the person or his standing.”
