Exclusive: Easter Special with Jacqueliene Fernandez! Says that it’s about new beginnings for her; see pics
Oh my God, I am seeing hot cross buns after ages,” said an excited Jacqueliene Fernandez, seeing an Easter hamper. Posing with the Easter eggs and bunnies, Jacqueliene opened up about the significance of the day. She said, “For me, it signifies a new start, a new beginning and a time to celebrate all good things with my loved ones. It’s one of my favourite festivals.”
Talking about her childhood memories, Jacqueliene said, “I have some amazing childhood memories of celebrating the festival with my family, like breaking the Easter eggs and waiting to see what’s inside, gorging on my favourite hot cross buns, just hanging out and singing with my folks. Also, going to the church, praying and marking the start of the festivities. Overall, the day was about togetherness and bonding with family.” For her, Easter is also about enjoying lip-smacking sweets. “I am vegan now, but I still enjoy eating Easter sweets, just that they are prepared differently,” she shared.
As she looks at Easter as an occasion to start something new, the Kick actress wants to revisit some of her interests. “I would love to make more time for gymnastics, swimming and dancing. I’ve been so passionate about all three, and then life happens and leaves you with little time to enjoy these things,” she said.
She is currently shooting for the new instalment of the Welcome franchise with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Disha Patani, among others. Apart from the comedy film, which is a genre she “really enjoys”, Jacqueliene will be seen in Fateh with Sonu Sood. She also has an international movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme. “So yes, I’m really excited about my projects,” she said.
