On Day 17, the film added Rs 25.65 Cr to its India net and apart from the huge collections, the Ranveer Singh starrer is also getting praises from the audiences and celebs as well. But the comedian Zakir Khan has a different take.Comedian Zakir Khan took a sharp and funny dig at Bollywood during the Screen Awards 2026. While hosting the event, he roasted the industry for its “fake love” towards the massive success of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'.

Zakir Khan’s roast

During his hosting stint, Zakir Khan said, "Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal dein, kitni hi stories daal dein, kitne hi interview mein aap bol dein my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ki Dhurandhar se sabki jalti toh hai." (“No matter how many congratulatory posts you put up, how many stories you share, or how many interviews you say it’s your favourite film the truth is, everyone is a little jealous of Dhurandhar.”) He added another punchline, "Bomb film mein phootein Lyari mein, par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein." (“The bomb explodes in Lyari, but the smoke rises from Bandra to Juhu.”)

Zakir’s jokes highlighted how many celebrities have been posting congratulatory messages and calling the film their favourite.
However, he suggested that deep down, there is jealousy over its tremendous box office run and critical appreciation.

Bollywood praises 'Dhurandhar'

While Zakir poked fun at the fake love, several actors have genuinely praised 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. Ayushmann Khurrana wrote on social media, "It’s been three days and I can’t get over. #Dhurandhar2." He called director Aditya Dhar “multidimensional of another kind” and said he can nail any genre. Veteran actor Anupam Kher also expressed his love for the film’s ability to connect with audiences across generations.Aamir Khan became the latest star to congratulate the team. He shared a poster of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' on his Aamir Khan Productions Instagram Stories and wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of Dhurandhar: The Revenge! Your passion, vision and hard work have truly resonated with audiences." He tagged director Aditya Dhar and the main cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
