Arjun Kapoor on why he used to bunk school: 'Somewhere I lost interest in education'
A lot of people make fun of Arjun on social media, but few know what he went through as a child. In his chat on a podcast with Raj Shamani, Arjun shared that his life changed completely when his parents separated. He said he was only 10 years old, but he already felt he had to be strong for his mother and his five-year-old sister.
During the interview Arjun revealed, “I was really good academically till fifth grade, and then the split happened. I couldn’t throw tantrums, but somewhere I lost interest in education as a form of rebellion. I started bunking tuition. The boy who loved school suddenly hated it.”
Arjun explained that he grew up much faster than other kids his age. He did not allow himself to cry or be angry because he wanted to protect his family. He said he chose responsibility over his feelings. He took care of things quietly and tried his best to be the strong one. Many people do not know this part of his life, but hearing him talk about it shows how heavy things were for him as a child.
Arjun has also talked openly about how he struggled with weight from a young age. He said he turned to food because he felt empty inside. Eating became a way for him to fill that emotional space he did not know how to handle. This later made his health and his confidence suffer. For a long time, people trolled him because of his body, not knowing the real reasons behind the weight gain.
Arjun’s recent note about his mother made many trolls rethink their behavior. For years, his comments section has been filled with jokes and harsh messages. But now, people saw him not as a star but as a hurting human being.
Arjun Kapoor recently wrote a very emotional message for his late mother, Mona Kapoor, on her birthday. His post made many people stop and think because it showed how much pain he still carries. In his message, he said, “Happy birthday, Maa. I miss you so much today. Life’s been kind of cruel to me lately, but it’s ok… I’ve taken the punches before; I’ll take them again & still rise… Because you taught me how to fight by standing up and facing life head-on while being graceful & dignified through it all… We will ride it out together, you & I. I’ll see you again soon & we will celebrate your birthday together someday… Your loving son, Arjun.”
These words touched many people because they could feel how much he misses her and how much he still needs her strength.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor's previous hit was 'Singham Again.'
