Ameesha Patel faces non-bailable warrant in Rs 4.5 lakh cheque bounce case; counsel says matter was settled
Legal trouble has resurfaced for Ameesha Patel as a Moradabad court issued a non-bailable warrant against her in connection with a 2017 event dispute. The order came after the actress allegedly failed to appear despite multiple summons issued by the court.
According to Free Press Journal, the case stems from a complaint filed by event organiser Pawan Verma, who claimed that Ameesha had been booked to perform at a wedding on November 16, 2017. According to the complaint, an advance payment of Rs 14.50 lakh was made, and arrangements for her stay were finalised at a hotel on Delhi Road in Moradabad.
Verma told the court that while Rs 10 lakh was returned in cash, a cheque of Rs 4.50 lakh issued later allegedly bounced. After the payment dispute, he approached the court seeking legal recourse.
Despite repeated summons from the Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division) court, Ameesha did not appear, prompting the court to issue a non-bailable warrant to secure her presence.

Bcoz Amisha Patel is famous, court has taken action. I have been fighting a similar case against an interior decorator for almost 10years in Pune court. That guy took full payment from me in advance, then did not complete the work either. When asked for refund of money, he gave cheque of 2.5 lakh Rs and then gave stop payment instructions to bank. Hence the cheque bounced.. I am still waiting for court to take appropriate action against the person, his name is Anand Dave.Read allPost comment
