The 33-year-old actor even took to Instagram to share a special post to thank everyone as he achieves a new milestone in his illustrious career. Varun teamed up with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon for Rohit Shetty's 'Dilwale' in 2015. While SRK and Kajol's mesmerising chemistry grabbed everyone's attention, Varun managed to impress the audience with his performance as he essayed the character of SRK's younger brother. The film turned out to be Varun's highest-earning film as it went on to earn a total of Rs 139.97 crore at the box office.

Varun played his double role on the silver screen in 'Judwaa 2' as he stepped into the shoes of Salman Khan. The 2017 Varun-starrer is a reboot of Salman's 1997 blockbuster 'Judwaa'. Helmed by David Dhawan, 'Judwaa 2' went on to mint Rs 132.39 crore at the box office. Apart from Varun's double dose, the film also starred Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles.

One of Bollywood's popular on-screen pairs, Varun and Alia Bhatt left the audience stunned with their crackling chemistry in 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'. The film was appreciated by critics as well as audience and went on to rake in a total of Rs 114.11 crore in the domestic circuit. Not only that but the film is Varun's third-highest earning film as well.

Apart from his good looks and acting skills, Varun has also proved that he is one of the best dancers in the industry with Remo D'Souza's 'ABCD 2'. Despite that, the film managed to do a decent business at the box office and ended up minting Rs 80.03 crore in the domestic circuit.

Varun teamed up with Anushka Sharma for Sharat Katariya's 'Sui Dhaaga' and proved his versatility as an actor. The film which revolved around a married couple, who begin their own clothing business had struck a chord with the critics. While the film earned Rs 76.10 crore at the box office, the audience was all praise for Varun and Anushka's stellar performance.

After making a blockbuster entry in Bollywood with 'Student Of The Year', the hit on-screen pair of Varun and Alia came together for Shashank Khaitan's 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'. The 2014 romantic-comedy turned out to a huge hit and went on to rake a total of Rs 72.80 crore at the box office.

Varun has not only carved a niche for himself in Bollywood but also managed to win over the audience with his acting skills. Apart from his father David Dhawan, Varun has also worked with his brother Rohit Dhawan in 'Dishoom'.
