Exclusive! From Mitra Gadhvi to Siddharth Randeriya: Gujarati actors share their thoughts on PM Narendra Modi’s Janta Curfew

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the whole nation on the pressing issue of Coronavirus outbreak and shared important advice with the citizens of India. He appealed that he would need a few weeks from every person to dedicatedly practice self-quarantine and control the urge to step out. He also asked everyone to follow the necessary precautions to stay safe from the pandemic. The PM urged people to follow a Janta Curfew on Sunday, March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm. He also urged the state governments, organisations like the NCC and NSS to follow this. While many celebrities have been backing the PM’s appeal, even Dhollywood stars joined in to spread awareness amongst their fans by exclusively sharing their thoughts with ETimes.

2/7

Mitra Gadhvi

Dhollywood actor Mitra Gadhvi is known for his comedy acts in Gujarati films and has a huge fan following. Sharing his views on Janta Curfew, the actor said, "I think it is the need of the hour. Janta Curfew is a good decision. Apart from that, we all should understand how dangerous Corona could be if we don’t stay inside our houses and don’t take proper care."

3/7

Vyoma Nandi

The actress rose to fame after the Durgesh Tanna release 'Luv Ni Love Storys'. The talented actress shared a very important message saying, "Everyone should stand in support of what PM Modi Ji has said. The Janta Curfew is very much necessary and everyone should participate as it is for our well being."

4/7

Jimit Trivedi

Dhollywood actor Jimit Trivedi has always been one of the most sought after actors in Gujarati cinema. The actor prefers being well connected with his fans through various social media platforms. He shared his opinion about Janta Curfew saying, "If you don’t want to die, then you will have to live. It is common sense and it completely makes sense what our respected PM said and asked from us. If people don’t support Janta Curfew, then very FEW JANTA will live. I support Janta Curfew."

5/7

Dipika Chikalya

Veteran actress Dipika Chikalya shared her thoughts about the Coronavirus outbreak, "In the wake of Corona pandemic, our PM has asked us all to observe voluntary Junta Curfew for 14 hrs on this Sunday. It's a welcome call and I support it wholeheartedly and I am sharing this message on my Instagram handle too. I urge all the Indian citizens to support him and observe the curfew. It’s an awareness he is trying to create so that we can contain this problem and not allow it to spread further. We should all respect this decision and also henceforth stop standing at pan shops and coffee shops and stop socialising for some time until this virus is contained. You are not helping the situation. Everyone needs to act responsibly and do their bit to save themselves and their loved ones. Take care of all the senior citizens."

6/7

Bhakti Kubavat

Meanwhile, Bhakti Kubavat shared, "What the PM did was very thoughtful. His appeal to the citizens of India for Janta Curfew is an important step taken by Modi Ji. I feel the curfew should not be for one day but at least 15 days so that we don't get into the explosive growth of this virus. Let us not wait for people to tell us for keeping social distances or stay at home. We should take this step from today onwards. It’s time to lock the borders, endure this treatment and cure this illness."

7/7

Siddharth Randeriya

Veteran actor Siddharth Randheriya spoke about the Coronavirus outbreak expressing, "The epidemic of Coronavirus has broken down all over the world. People across the world are in danger as there is no vaccine against this disease to cure. In this situation, our Prime Minister Modi has announced the Janta Curfew on 22nd March which is the required step to fight against Coronavirus. And with this, we can show the entire world that we are together. I am fully supporting this, and we will do our best to protect ourselves, our nation. So that once again our nation can rise, our economy can rise".
