Bollywood gets arty!

Hosted by Samar Khan, this do held in the suburbs overlooking Juhu beach, was all about dressing up and letting your hair down. Of course, you did not look at the beach but at the sea of photography and art displayed all around. What you saw were some haunting charcoal images of nudes by Ashish Sunder Narayan Singh Tyagi and photographs by Amit Ashar that magically transformed the ordinary by capturing moments of pure perception. Guests chilled out with cocktails and got into a further high as they listened to a band with Arijit Datta and his melodies that poured in like the falling rain, Vinay Lobo with his crunchy blues style on the lead guitar, Sid Coutto on drums, Jonathan Paul on keyboard and Amit Ahuja on bass. Enjoying this eclectic mix of creative talent under one roof, in a shared, stylish, social milieu, were a fair sprinkling of the Bollywood brigade, the TV tribe and all those who like a hearty arty party. Making their presence felt was the bubbly Perizaad Zorabian with hubby Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor who was chatting with the girls, Konkana Sensharma who was smiling sweetly while her boyfriend Ranvir Shorey sipped his cool cocktail, lady-in-white Sandhya Mridul, Roshan and Shaheen Abbas, Dia Mirza who breezed in and out, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Mini Mathur, Maria Goretti, Sapna Bhavnani who was in a dancing mood and Shveta Salve in those hot shorts, just right for the monsoon.
