In a recent conversation with Indiaglitz, she said that her father has finished writing the story for ‘Padayappa 2’. She clearly said, “It is absolutely brilliant, but we haven’t decided on a director and are not sure when it will materialise.” This shows that the story is ready, but the film still needs time to move forward.

About ‘Padayappa’

‘Padayappa’ was released in 1999 and became a massive blockbuster. The film was directed by KS Ravikumar and the story was written by Rajinikanth himself. It tells the story of a kind engineer who comes back to his village. He faces problems from his greedy step-sister and many enemies. He fights back using his brain, honesty, and strong values.
The film also shows his clash with Neelambari, played by Ramya Krishnan. Her role became iconic. The movie also starred Soundarya, Lakshmi, Sithara, Radha Ravi, and others.
