Billboard reported his passing, revealing that he suffered a major motorcycle accident in Ashland City, Tennessee, on Saturday. A statement from his family also announced the news and asked fans for some privacy during this difficult time.The statement read, “Ronnie was beloved by so many in our music community, whom he loved so dearly. We are beyond grateful for all of the love and outpouring toward us already. Right now, as we process, we just covet your prayers. We have no words at this time, but thank you and graciously request that you honor our privacy while we try to put our heads around this and grieve.”Billy Strings, a fellow musician, also paid tribute to Bowman through a social media post. He shared photos of the singer and then wrote in the caption, “One of the best entertainers in bluegrass and country music. He lit up any room he was in. I’m terribly sad to hear that he has passed on after a tragic motorcycle accident.
May our dear friend rest in peace.”

About Ronnie Bowman

Ronnie Bowman was born on July 9, 1961, and was a native of Mount Airy, North Carolina. He was heavily influenced by music from a young age, starting to sing gospel music at the age of 3. He used to play at different churches along with his 4 sisters, and was heavily involved with the music. In 1990, he joined the bluegrass band Lonesome River Band for two years and performed with them extensively. Following this, he began releasing solo music, most of which became huge successes at the time of their release. Some of his work includes ‘Starting Over’, ‘Cold Virginia Night’, ‘It's Gettin' Better All the Time’, ‘Old Country Town’, and many others. He also worked as a composer and music producer for many famed artists.
