Lindsay Lohan’s controversies

Lindsay Lohan aka Lilo has always managed to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. The actress-singer cannot stay away from controversies. According to reports, in 2010, Lindsay checked into a rehab centre after taking drugs in violation of her probation. She checked into an unidentified rehab centre in southern California, according to celebrity website TMZ. Lohan's stint came ahead of an October 22, 2010 hearing that could have seen her jailed for a year for violating terms of a probation that banned her from using drugs and alcohol. After failing a drug test, she spent 15 hours in jail before being freed on $300000 bail, after an appeals judge overruled a lower judge's decision that she must spend 30 days in jail. Lohan was released from a court-ordered rehab stint, following a brief jail term imposed for drunk-driving violations.

According to an IANS report, in 2014, Lindsay Lohan was accused of drinking alcohol at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The actress vowed to stay sober at the event that took place at Empire Polo Club, Indio, California, reports contactmusic.com. Lohan, who confessed to having "one glass of wine" since leaving rehab for the sixth time, had been accused of consuming vodka with a group of friends, including her sister Aliana, 20, during Kid Cudi's set. "She looked completely out of it. She couldn't stand up straight and she was frantically chain-smoking cigarettes. In one of her hands she had a plastic cup with a clear liquid in it," a source was quoted in a report on InTouchWeekly.com. "The group was standing in a small cabana, booth type thing and one of the friends was making regular trips to the bar. I overheard the friend order four vodka sodas and when he carried them back to the group he handed one to Lindsay and she started drinking it. She didn't seem to care who saw and none of the group seemed concerned," added the source.

Lindsay Lohan’s controversies

According to an IANS report, Lindsay Lohan claimed that her controversial stint on Oprah Winfrey's reality show left her little choice but to relocate overseas. Lohan talked about it in an interview with Britain's Telegraph to promote her gig in a London production of drama Speed-the-Plow. The actress stressed that her OWN docu-series, which exposed her alcohol relapse, alleged miscarriage and many emotional meltdowns on the small screen, made her a target in her hometown of New York City, reported contactmusic.com. "After the Oprah show, it was kind of hard for me to be in New York. There started to be paparazzi, and I didn't have that in New York in the beginning. Every time I left my house, they were at the corner," she was quoted saying.
