Small, conscious choices can go a long way: Bibriti Chatterjee
Sustainability begins with everyday choices, believes actress Bibriti Chatterjee. On the occasion of World Environment Day, she shared how mindful decisions in food and fashion can collectively contribute to a healthier planet. “For me, sustainability is about fresh produce and eco-friendly ways of producing it. In both food and fashion, it reflects in the choices we make every day,” says Bibriti, stressing that a holistic approach is essential when it comes to living sustainably. Speaking about fashion, the actress highlights the importance of being an informed consumer. “It’s important to be aware of how a garment is made, how durable it is, and whether ethical practices are being followed. We also need to consider if the process is harming nature in any way,” she says. Rather than opting for convenience foods, the Devi Chowdhurani actress prefers fresh and seasonal ingredients. “I try to eat more seasonal produce and avoid preserved or heavily processed ready-to-eat products,” she shares, adding that sustainability can often be found in simple, everyday habits. For the actress, creating a sustainable lifestyle does not require drastic changes. Instead, it is about being mindful of the impact of our daily decisions and making better choices whenever possible. “Small, conscious choices can go a long way in creating a more sustainable lifestyle,” adds Bibriti
