‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle’ had a promising start in Indian theatres last week when it opened with Rs 12.85 crore on Friday. The film, however, has faced a significant drop in recent days, following its weekend high of more than Rs 13 crore on each Saturday and Sunday. As of now, the film has earned a total of Rs 53.1 crore since its release.

According to Sacnilk, 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle’ earned approximately Rs 2.27 crore (early estimates) on the 7th day of its box office release. The film’s earnings have experienced a significant drop since yesterday, when it earned a total of Rs 3.50 crore. There is also a sharp difference in the film’s collection since its first day of release, when ‘Demon Slayer’ earned Rs. 12.85 crore on Friday. The highest rush was from the weekend, when it collected Rs 13.1 crore on Saturday and Rs 13.85 crore on Sunday.

Competition increases

With new releases hitting the theatre on Friday, ‘Demon Slayer’ may take a hit with its box office earnings in the coming days. Some of the big theatrical releases that may give the Japanese anime film a run for its money include Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’, ‘Ajey: The Untold Story Of The Yogi’, which stars Paresh Rawal and Anant Joshi, and ‘Nishaanchi’ starring Aaishvary Thackeray, Monika Panwar, and many others.
