NAINITAL: Taking a jibe at the
Narendra Modi government

Harish Rawat said on Wednesday that the "56-inch chest government" has done nothing for the state and has only remembered it during elections.
"I want people to know that the Centre has not given any money to our state while the UPA government gave Rs 8,000 crore to us. Despite this, the state government has worked for the people and development of the state," said the CM while addressing the gathering at
Pant Park
.
Rawat added, "This government of 56-inch chest has done nothing for the state. They have plans and a vision for the state now. Where were they before the elections?"
The CM said that under his tenure 1,343 roads were build in the state. The CM is one of the star campaigners from the state and is trying to cover as much ground as possible.
