T (Anaithinthiya Anna Dravida Makkal Seyal katchi), Vijayalaiyan. J (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), Anandaraj. D (Independent), Inbaraj. T (Independent), Noor Nisha. M (Independent), Maya Venkatesan. M (Independent), Murugan. S (Independent), Mujibur Rahman. E.M.M (Independent), and Shangamiththiran. A (Independent) — 13 candidates contesting from Poompuhar in Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Poompuhar is a General constituency. In 2021, Nivedha M. Murugan of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won by a margin of 3,299 votes. The 2016 winner was S.
