Laharighat Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: Congress candidate Dr Asif Mohammad Nazar leads by 55,921 votes
Dr Asif Mohammad Nazar (Congress), Md Khalilur Rahman (Asom Gana Parishad), Siddique Ahmed (All India United Democratic Front), Omar Faruque (Rashtriya Ulama Council), and Haresha Khanam (Independent) — 5 candidates contesting from Laharighat in Assam's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Laharighat is a General constituency under the Nowgong Lok Sabha segment, with 186,704 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Asif Mohammad Nazar of the Congress won by a margin of 2,028 votes. The 2016 winner was Nazrul Islam of the Congress. The 2021 turnout was 87.5%. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Laharighat in 2026.
