The czarina of Indian television, Ekta Kapoor is reportedly in talks with some channels to pitch in her new offering. In fact she is offering old wine in a new bottle. According to media reports, Ekta is all set to remake the old hit fantasy show, Chandrakanta. The show is based on a novel titled ‘Chandrakanta’ from which the original show was adapted. As we all know, Chandrakanta is a love story of two people belonging to two rival kingdoms. The original show which aired on Doordarshan was a massive hit. It featured Shahbaaz Khan as Virendra Singh and Shikha Swaroop playing the title role. With Ekta producing the show, we can expect it to be worth a watch with lot of 'masala' in it.

Ekta Kapoor might not work with Sujoy Ghosh in her upcoming film based on a Japanese novel, reports Mid-day.com. As per the report, Ekta might not keep Sujoy Ghosh on board due to budget differences. The film, which is based on The Devotion of Suspect X, has now been postponed indefinitely. The report further states that a budget of Rs 20 crore had been fixed for the project but Sujoy Ghosh demanded double the amount, which is why the project had to be stalled.

Another example of her belief in numerology was when she added a line to her show, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar. While on another instance, Ekta Kapoor strived for the perfect script. According to a report, Ekta Kapoor had torn off the script of Kumkum Bhagya five times before deciding on the final one. The report also stated that Ekta Kapoor had given the time slot of Pavitra Rishta to Kumkum Bhagya, because she considered the previous show very lucky for her.

Ekta Kapoor is not only successful as a producer but has also recently ventured into the fashion department. According to reports, Ekta has launched a fashion label, 'EK.' Speaking about the same Ekta was quoted as saying that, "I've always looked to venture into new territories and with my label I hope to reach out to women across the country. EK is an endeavor to make fashion accessible and affordable."
