The examination for Session 2 was conducted over multiple days in April for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) and separately for Paper 2A (B.Arch.) and Paper 2B (B.Planning). It was held at 567 centres located in 306 cities across India, along with 14 international cities.
Objection submission window in place
Candidates have been given the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key through an online process. The window for submitting objections is open until April 13, with submissions accepted up to 11:50 PM on the closing day.
To raise a challenge, candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question. Payments can be completed using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. Submissions without the prescribed fee will not be reviewed by the agency.
Review mechanism and finalisation
All objections received within the stipulated period will be examined by subject experts. In cases where a challenge is found valid, the provisional answer key will be revised. The updated answer key will then be applied uniformly to all candidates.
The NTA has clarified that candidates will not receive individual notifications regarding the outcome of their challenges. The decision taken by the expert panel after reviewing objections will be considered final.
Result preparation based on revised keys
The final results of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be compiled using the revised answer keys. Candidates are advised to verify their responses carefully and submit objections, if any, within the deadline, as no further opportunity will be provided after the window closes.
For assistance, candidates may contact the NTA through its helpline number or official email.
