The Class 10 examinations have already concluded, and the evaluation of answer sheets is reported to be nearly complete. Officials have indicated that the process has progressed faster this year, partly due to the introduction of a two-phase examination system, with the second phase tentatively scheduled for May.

Evaluation process and expected timeline
According to district-level officials, the assessment of answer sheets has already been completed, paving the way for an earlier announcement. The board is expected to release the results within the indicated timeframe, although students have been advised to monitor official websites for confirmation.

Historically, CBSE has released Class 10 and Class 12 results on the same day, typically around May 13. In recent years, results have been declared in the afternoon hours, including 1:10 PM in both 2025 and 2024, 1:30 PM in 2023, 2:00 PM in 2022, and 12:00 PM in 2021.

Digital access and DigiLocker update
An update on DigiLocker has indicated that the Class 10 results are expected to be released soon. Students whose APAAR IDs are linked with CBSE records will be able to access their marksheets directly under the ‘Issued Documents’ section after logging in using Aadhaar-linked credentials.

Students without an APAAR ID will be required to create an account using the access code provided by their schools. The activation process involves entering personal details, verifying a mobile number through OTP, and confirming the account using a 6-digit security PIN issued by the school.

Once activated, students will be able to access several documents, including the digital marksheet, passing certificate, migration certificate, and skill certificate where applicable.

Performance trends and past data
In 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.66%, slightly higher than 93.60% recorded in 2024 and 93.12% in 2023. Girls continued to outperform boys, with a pass rate of 95% compared to 92.63% among boys. Around 8.43% of students scored above 90%, while 1.92% crossed the 95% mark.

Approximately 5.96% of candidates were placed in the compartment category. Region-wise performance varied, with some areas witnessing a decline in rankings despite maintaining pass percentages above 90%.

In 2024, student participation increased to over 2.23 million, with more than 2.09 million candidates passing the examination. The pass percentage recorded a marginal rise compared to the previous year, reflecting steady academic outcomes.

Examination scale and passing criteria
The Class 10 examinations were conducted across more than 8,000 centres nationwide. Students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to pass. In cases where candidates fall short by one or two marks, grace marks may be awarded in accordance with board policies.

Following the declaration of results, students will have the option to apply for verification and re-evaluation. Supplementary examinations for those placed in the compartment category are expected to be conducted around July.
