Chishty feted for message of peace in Singapore

Gorakhpur: The city's Dargah Mubarak Khan Shaheed congratulated Haji Syed Salman Chishty, the 26th-generation spiritual successor of the Ajmer Sharif Dargah for his address at Vagabond Club in Singapore during the spiritual dialogue programme, 'Seena Ba Seena: Heart to Heart’.

President of Gorakhpur's Dargah Mubarak Khan Shaheed, Iqrar Ahmad, said Chishty has played significant role in taking the message of Khwaja Garib Nawaz beyond India's borders and promoting the ideals of love, harmony and humanity across the world and how he reiterated the timeless message of "love for all and hatred for none." Ahmad said the shared values of compassion, service and coexistence found in Sufism, Vedanta, Islam and Sikh traditions and such efforts help strengthen global brotherhood, foster interfaith understanding and contribute to social harmony at a time when the world needs greater compassion and mutual respect.
