The entire mountain region through which the highways have been constructed unscientifically will face the same consequences . No proper study has been done about the soil , the rock bed , the water resources like small springs which flow round the year , the vegetation , the forests canopy etc etc. Blindly the mountains and hills have been cut , millions of trees have been chopped off , and the third grade quality highways have been constructed . And the Minister Gadakari says he is going to give us US standard highways . Thousands of kms of highways have already been washed away in this monsoon season by the time they repair the damages to the highways another thousands of kms of highways will be washed away in the next monsoon season . The BJP Politicians must be making huge money by construction and repairs of the highways . The poor taxpayers of India !
