Ranchi: The Khunti police have nabbed three youths for stealing a bike after indulging in drug abuse near the Jagarnathpur temple in Dhurwa area of Ranchi district.
Khunti sub-divisional police officer Varun Rajak on Friday informed that the arrested persons are Sonu Ram (23), Bajrang Kumar (23) and Prince Kumar (19). He said that Sonu and Bajrang were residents of Karra area in Khunti district while Prince lived in Doranda in Ranchi.
He stated, “During interrogation, the accused persons admitted that they consumed brown sugar near Jagarnath temple in Ranchi on April 6. They added while returning back late in the night they saw a bike standing near Jhopri market in Dhurwa and took it away.”
Rajak said that an accused, Nitin Nayak, who was caught by Khunti police in another case, informed about the bike theft done by his friends. EOM
