62 CDPOs, 237 women supervisors get job letters
Ranchi: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 62 child development project officers (CDPOs) and 237 women supervisors to be posted in different wings of the state women, child and social welfare department at a formal ceremony at Project Building. Hemant said that the move will go a long way in increasing the efficiency of the department in proper implementation of schemes to women and child welfare. State finance minister Radha Krishana Kishore, chief secretary Avinash Kumar among other senior brass of the govt were present on the occasion.
Addressing the newly inducted staff, he said that malnutrition in women and children is one of the major concerns in the state and that their role will be important to address them at the grassroot.
“All the newly appointed personnel should collectively resolve to eradicate the problems of malnutrition from the state. Although the govt is undertaking several initiatives to address the reeling problems at the village levels, the responsibility now lies on your shoulders to ensure that the schemes are implemented properly and with full transparency to get the desired results,” the CM said adding that the govt is also ensuring that both contractual and regular staff are provided all the required facilities to discharge their duties in an effective manner.
