Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Saturday transferred and posted eight principals at different constituent colleges under its jurisdiction. The decision was taken at a meeting of the university’s transfer committee held under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor (VC) Upendra Prasad Singh.
According to PPU registrar Abu Bakar, as per the notification issued after the meeting, Ratna Amrit, currently serving as BD College principal, has been transferred and appointed as principal of AN College, Patna. Rekha Rani, principal of RRS College, Mokama, has been posted as principal of Arvind Mahila College, Patna. Similarly, Sunita Roy, principal of MM College, Bikram, has been transferred to College of Commerce, Arts and Science, Patna as its new principal, he said.
Shyama Roy, principal of ANS College, Barh, has been shifted to Ganga Devi Mahila College, Patna. In another transfer Vijay Laxmi who was serving as principal of Ganga Devi Mahila College, Patna, has been posted as principal of M M College, Bikram, the registrar said, adding Diwakar Prasad, principal of RKD College, Patna, has been transferred to BD College, Patna, as its principal.
Former Magadh University vice-chancellor Shashi Pratap Shahi, who was recently relieved from the post, has been appointed as principal of ANS College, Barh. Meanwhile, Shailja Sinha who is currently working as professor of Sanskrit at R K D College, Patna, has been posted as professor-in charge of the same college, the registrar said, adding the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening academic administration and ensuring efficient functioning of constituent colleges across the university.
