Trader attacked outside Central Avenue eatery

Nagpur: A bullion trader, Rupesh Soni, was brutally attacked by four youngsters outside a restaurant on Central Avenue late Sunday night. Soni and his friends were dining when a dispute erupted with the group at the adjacent table over his loud conversation.Soni apologised after being asked to lower his voice, but the matter escalated after he stepped out. The four youths, who were lying in wait, assaulted him and smashed a bottle on his head, leaving him profusely bleeding.An attempted murder case has been registered at Lakadganj Police Station. Police have launched a manhunt for the absconding attackers. Soni is undergoing treatment. TNN
