MCC reels competition for college students

Mysuru: To protect the salubrious environment of Mysuru city and to raise awareness about cleanliness among the youth, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has organised an Environmental Reels competition for college students.This competition provides a platform for students to showcase their creativity and calls on everyone to join hands in making Mysuru the number one clean city in India.Participants are required to present their unique ideas in reel format on any of these four key topics: ‘Waste segregation at the source,' ‘Raising awareness among those littering in public places,' ‘Banning single-use plastics,' or ‘Water reuse.'Certain important rules will apply to this competition, including that the duration of the reels should not exceed one minute. The videos should not contain elements that harm or promote any individual, organisation, political party, caste, or religion. The decision made by the organisers regarding this competition is final, and no discussion or appeal will be entertained.Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to students who create exceptional reels, with the first prize being Rs 5k, the second prize Rs 3k, and the third prize Rs 2k. This apart, the top 10 reels will be showcased at an exhibition organised by the MCC, and every participant will receive a certificate from the civic agency.Students can send their reels to WhatsApp number 99723 91577, with the submission deadline being Dec 30, 2025, stated a release from the commissioner of MCC.
