Mumbai Police register FIR after BJP MLA Ameet Satam receives abusive online comments, messages
MUMBAI: Juhu Police have registered an FIR against three people for making derogatory and abusive comments online on social media posts of BJP MLA Ameet Satam.
The FIR was lodged on the basis of a complaint given by corporator Anish Makwani.
According to the complaint, Satam had posted videos on Instagram about work done in the city.
Two social media users had posted derogatory and abusive remarks on the post. Besides this, an unknown person sent abusive texts to Satam over WhatsApp.
After corporator Makwani learnt of the derogatory comments and texts, he approached the police on May 30 to lodge a complaint.
