Special kids walk the ramp

Madurai: The CII - Young Indians (Yi), Madurai chapter, organised ‘Raise & Shine', a fashion show for special children, at Vishaal De Mall on Friday evening. The event aimed to celebrate inclusivity, confidence, and self-expression among children with special needs. The show featured around 100 participants from 20 special schools in and around Madurai. Dressed in themed outfits, the children walked the ramp amid cheering of audience. The event also included fun activities and photo sessions for the children and their parents.Speaking at the event, district differently abled welfare officer N Saminathan lauded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of providing platforms for special children to showcase their talents. Vocational guidance officer B Vengata Subramanian said that the show not only provided an opportunity for the children to shine but also helped spread awareness about the importance of inclusivity.
