Ludhiana: The Cycling Association of Ludhiana District (CALD) organised a grand cycling event to celebrate World Bicycle Day 2026 at the PAU campus.
The event saw participation from athletes, coaches, and representatives from ITBP and NDRF units. More than 500 participants joined the event, promoting fitness, environmental sustainability, road safety, and a drug-free society.
The event was organised under the guidance of the ministry of youth affairs and sports, Government of India, and witnessed the presence of several distinguished dignitaries and sports personalities.
The event commenced with an address highlighting the importance of cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation and an effective means of improving physical and mental well-being.
Participants completed a 10 kilometre cycling ride across the PAU campus, demonstrating their commitment towards a healthier lifestyle, environmental conservation, and social responsibility. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from all age groups.
