Firing case cracked; two held after CCTV vigil
Lucknow: Two men were arrested for allegedly opening fire outside a house in Krishna Nagar and vandalising a car to settle an old feud. Police said the accused, Manish Yadav and Jeetu Yadav, traced after scanning 400–500 CCTV clips, were picked up from GV Lawn turn on May 3.
The incident took place on April 30 in LDA Colony, where the accused, along with associates, reached the complainant’s house, abused family members, damaged a parked car and allegedly fired shots to create panic.
Probe revealed the attack was fallout of a clash at a wedding a day earlier. During questioning, the accused admitted to vandalism; firing was allegedly done by their associates to spread fear. Both have prior criminal records. Other accused are still on the run.
