Ayodhya set for grand celebrations on consecration anniv, Ganga Dussehra
Ayodhya: The annual consecration anniversary of Ram Darbar, the Sheshavatar Temple, and six temples in the outer enclosure of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex is scheduled for Tuesday, and grand celebrations have been planned at the Ram Temple complex on Ganga Dussehra.
Member of Ram temple trust Anil Mishra said that as part of the programme Ram Lalla would be offered ‘Chhappan Bhog’, along with special adornment of Ram Parivar. A ‘havan’ will be organised in the Ram Temple’s ‘yagyashala’, and ‘abhishek’ and ‘puja’ will be held at the temple.
A complete recitation of the Valmiki Ramayana will be held on the first floor, while the Ram Temple complex will resonate with devotional songs in the evening.
“Ram Lalla’s court will also be decorated with elaborate floral arrangements. The Ram Mandir Trust has completed preparations for the annual celebrations,” Mishra said.
In view of the Ganga Dussehra festival, district magistrate Shashank Tripathi and senior superintendent of police Gaurav Grover conducted a ground inspection of the Saryu Ghats and Ram Ki Paidi to ensure smooth arrangements, safety, and convenience for devotees.
During the inspection, the officials reviewed cleanliness at the ghats, lighting arrangements, barricading, drinking water supply, security measures, traffic management, and movement of devotees.
The DM directed the officials concerned to ensure that devotees visiting Ayodhya on Ganga Dussehra face no inconvenience and that all necessary arrangements were put in place in a timely manner.
Reviewing security arrangements, the senior superintendent of police issued necessary directives regarding adequate deployment of police personnel, CCTV surveillance, and crowd management. He said that the safety of devotees would be the top priority during the festival.
The DM also directed the municipal corporation and other departments to maintain cleanliness at the ghats and pay special attention to issues such as waterlogging and slippery surfaces.
He appealed to devotees to follow the guidelines issued by the administration and cooperate in ensuring that the festival was celebrated in a peaceful and clean environment.
