Muslim Youth League suspends Idukki committee over provocative slogans
Idukki: State leadership of Muslim Youth League (MYL) suspended its Idukki district committee for raising provocative slogans against NSS general secretary Sukumaran Nair and SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan during a celebration march organised in Thodupuzha following the announcement of V D Satheesan as the next chief minister of Kerala.State general secretary P K Firoz said the district committee was suspended for organising and participating in a procession in a manner that was provocative and inconsistent with the discipline and dignityof the party. IUML state general secretary P M A Salam said that such actions are against the party's traditions and values and that the party strongly rejects such tendencies."Panakkad Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal had earlier instructed party workers not to allow celebration processions to cross limits," Salam said, adding that the party would not accept anyone acting against that directive.
