MP to develop grand Saraswati Lok at Bhojshala, set up Raja Bhoj Research Institute
Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday announced that the state govt will develop a grand Saraswati Lok at the Bhojshala complex in Dhar and establish a Raja Bhoj Research Institute in the city to revive its historic legacy as a centre of learning and scholarship.
Addressing ministers ahead of the Cabinet meeting, CM Yadav said the state govt would take all necessary steps to restore and promote Bhojshala’s rich cultural and educational heritage. He also announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for the nearest family members of three Bhojshala movement martyrs--late Bansingh, Antarsingh and Lakshman Singh.
The CM urged ministers to encourage people in their respective constituencies to submit suggestions on the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) through the dedicated govt website. He noted that June 15, 2026, has been set as the deadline for receiving public feedback.
Yadav praised the initiative of creating a dedicated portal for public consultation on the UCC and said a high-level committee is touring districts across the state to gather views from citizens, political parties and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). He directed ministers to widely publicise the committee’s activities and the website to ensure maximum public participation.
The CM also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in office on May 26, 2026. He said that under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved significant progress in development, self-reliance, national security, cultural resurgence, digital transformation and global standing. On behalf of the people of Madhya Pradesh, Yadav extended his congratulations to the PM.
