Say goodbye to F1 TV fees in India: Watch races starting from Rs 25 only!
FanCode, a broadcasting platform for sports, has secured the exclusive broadcast rights for Formula 1 in India for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The upcoming F1 season, which features the longest-ever calendar with 24 races beginning on February 29 in Bahrain, will be available to Indian fans on FanCode across various devices such as smart TVs, mobile phones, and tablets.
Formula 1 at FanCode: What all can be watched
FanCode's coverage of Formula 1 races will include all practice and qualifying sessions, Sprint races, and Grands Prix throughout the season. Fans will have the flexibility to choose their viewing options, whether through individual race passes or a season pass to access all 24 races.
New option to watch races at cheaper subscription costs
As compared to F1 TV Pro, which is priced at Rs 2,499 annually or Rs 299 monthly, the FanCode subscription offers a more economical option. The yearly pass, priced at just Rs 599, averages out to around Rs 25 per race. Additionally, users have the flexibility to opt for individual race weekends, which will be available for Rs 49 each.
India's F1 fanbase has been steadily growing, fueled by the success of the Drive to Survive series, and the increasing popularity of motorsports globally. However, access to F1 races got limited last season due to the high cost of subscriptions to the dedicated F1 TV platform.
With FanCode coming into the picture, this barrier has been removed at least for the next two seasons. The Formula 1 action returns this weekend with the Bahrain GP scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 PM in India. Bahrain, the host of the season-opener since 2021, had scheduled this race on Saturday due to Ramadan.
