Nissan Gravite gets twin-cylinder CNG setup: Pricing, key details
Nissan Motor India has introduced a new CNG option for the Gravite MPV. The company is offering a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit at an introductory price of Rs 83,000, which is over and above the cost of the chosen variant.
The highlight of this update is the twin-cylinder CNG setup, making the Gravite the first MPV in its segment to feature such a configuration. The system uses two cylinders, each with a capacity of 25 litres , and is designed to optimise space while retaining the vehicle’s seven-seater layout.
This CNG kit will be available as a dealer-level fitment and can be installed through authorised dealerships starting May 4, 2026. Initially, it will be offered across 60 cities in 16 states. The system has been developed and quality-tested by Motozen, and comes with a warranty of three years or 1 lakh kilometres.
In terms of design integration, the CNG filling nozzle has been neatly placed under the fuel lid, giving it a factory-finished look. The cylinders are currently stacked in the boot, one above the other. While this setup helps maintain seating flexibility, it leaves limited luggage space. Nissan has indicated that an underbody-mounted CNG tank solution is also in the pipeline, which could improve practicality further.
Mechanically, the Gravite CNG continues with its 1.0-litre petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. While the petrol-only version is also offered with an AMT option, the availability of an automatic transmission with the CNG kit has not been confirmed yet.
