Mahindra Vision T, Vision SXT

Mahindra and Mahindra recently revealed the Mahindra Vision T and Vision SXT. Part of its Vision 2027 plan, both are based on the NU_IQ platform and will be compatible with versatile powertrain options. Let’s take a look at both concept models in images with details.

3/8

Mahindra Vision T

In terms of design, the Vision T features a boxy silhouette, flat bonnet, split six-slat vertical grille, bonnet latches, squared-off wheel arches, exposed hinges, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, all signature elements of the Thar lineage.

Mahindra Vision T side angle

The SUV gets a split LED headlamp arrangement with a central cube-shaped projector surrounded by four individual DRL elements, a design mirrored at the rear with squared tail-lamps. Its rugged appeal is further enhanced by off-road-ready bumpers with a front tow hook, roof-mounted hook points, and chunky all-terrain tyres.

5/8

Mahindra Vision T Rear

Mahindra has added contemporary elements as well, including a floating roof design, luggage racks integrated into the quarter glass, and vertical LED strips within the tail-lamps. These details give the Vision T a blend of lifestyle-oriented styling and everyday practicality. Mahindra claims that SUVs built on this platform will deliver class-leading off-road geometry, with approach, departure, and breakover angles surpassing segment benchmarks. The models will also feature best-in-class ground clearance and a penta-link rear suspension

6/8

Mahindra Vision SXT

The Vision SXT is a futuristic pickup truck concept that offers a glimpse of what Mahindra could bring to market around 2027. Closely related to the Vision T, it carries forward much of the same design language and essentially represents the pickup iteration of the SUV.

Mahindra Vision SXT Design

The Vision SXT sports a bold, muscular design with a boxy profile, flared wheel arches, and a prominent skid plate. At the rear, its pickup character is defined by an angular, sculpted tailgate paired with vertical tail-lamps, giving it a distinctive and rugged look.

8/8

Mahindra Vision SXT

The Vision SXT is built on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ architecture, which has been engineered to support multiple powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric. While Mahindra has not disclosed specific engine options, it has confirmed that the EV version will use an LPF battery. Positioned as an off-road-focused pickup, the SXT benefits from strong geometry, offering an approach angle of up to 28 degrees, a departure angle of 34.9 degrees, and a breakover angle of 28.2 degrees.
