Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive recently launched the new Ultraviolette X47 Crossover electric motorcycle in the Indian market. The company has introduced the bike at an introductory price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This limited-time pricing will later move up to Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices are for the 7.1kWh variant, while prices for the higher-capacity battery option will be announced at a later stage. Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Desert Wing

A special X47 Desert Wing edition has also been introduced, finished in a sand-inspired paint scheme and equipped with touring-focused add-ons. Alongside this, buyers can choose from a wide range of official accessories, including panniers, knuckle guards, crash protection, and soft luggage.

In terms of design, the e-bike strikes a balance between sharpness and harmony, featuring well-proportioned lines and a distinctive LED headlamp that instantly identifies it as an Ultraviolette.

Beneath the updated bodywork sits the same core frame as the F77, now paired with a slightly more relaxed steering rake of 24.5 degrees. Adding to this is a new cast aluminium subframe that not only enhances the bike’s aesthetics but also conceals a key technological upgrade.

Its bold “tank” styling, with sharp elongated extensions and an elevated tail section, gives the bike a distinctive stance that leans toward a road-focused adventure style. Overall, the design changes make the X47 both visually striking and functionally appealing, balancing style, practicality, and performance refinement.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Mechanical updates

The most significant mechanical update comes in the form of extended suspension travel, offering up to 170mm at both ends. Ground clearance has been boosted to a commendable 200mm, while the seat height stands at a relatively accessible 820mm.

The overall ergonomics are notably comfortable. Combined with the upgraded suspension, this results in a riding experience that feels markedly different from the F77 and its sibling, the F77 SuperStreet. Braking comes courtesy of Bybre, with a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: ADAS Features!

In terms of features, the Ultraviolette X47 comes equipped with radar technology as standard across both variants. Called as Hypersense, the 77GHz rear-facing radar enhances rider awareness by monitoring surroundings in real time. The company says this system covers a 150-degree horizontal and 68-degree vertical field of view, with tracking capability extending up to 200 meters. It actively monitors blind spots and alerts the rider through notifications on the display as well as illuminated strips embedded in the mirrors. During lane changes, it also scans for oncoming hazards and warns of rapidly approaching vehicles.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Dual dash cameras!

In addition, the radar includes rear-collision detection. By calculating the speed of traffic approaching from behind, it can issue cluster alerts and automatically trigger hazard lights if a risk of impact is detected. Further boosting safety and convenience, the X47 integrates a dual-camera dashcam setup with a Sony sensor. Both cameras record 1080p video at 30fps with a 120-degree field of view. A secondary display positioned above the 5-inch TFT cluster allows riders to review footage, while onboard storage is 32GB as standard and expandable up to 256GB.

The bike also debuts a refreshed instrument cluster layout, supported by an integrated eSIM that enables connected features such as theft alerts, remote tracking, and detailed ride analytics. Rider assistance tech includes three-level traction control, dual-channel switchable ABS, and dynamic stability control.

Ultraviolette X47 Crossover: Battery

The X47 will be offered with two battery options which are similar to the F77 series - a 7.1kWh unit with a certified 211km IDC range and a larger 10.3kWh pack capable of delivering up to 323km IDC range. The higher-spec model produces peak figures of 30kW (40.2hp) and 100Nm (610Nm at the rear wheel), enabling it to sprint from 0–60kph in just 2.7 seconds, hit 100kph in 8.1 seconds, and reach a top speed of 145kph (all claimed). The motorcycle also debuts a 1.6kW onboard charger, which Ultraviolette describes as the most power-dense air-cooled unit in the world, although official charging durations are yet to be revealed.
