2026 Yezdi Scrambler vs Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Engine, pricing & more
The Yezdi Scrambler has recently been refreshed, while Triumph Motorcycles has been restructuring its lineup. The brand recently introduced its lineup with downsized engines to benefit from GST advantages. Here’s how the Triumph Scrambler 400 X with a smaller engine stacks up against the updated Yezdi Scrambler.
Starting with the engine, the difference is quite clear. The Yezdi Scrambler uses a 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 30 hp and 30 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Triumph, on the other hand, comes with a larger 349 cc, single-cylinder engine. It produces 37 hp and 32 Nm, giving it a noticeable edge in performance.
When it comes to hardware, both motorcycles are built for mixed terrain. The Yezdi uses a telescopic front fork and twin rear shocks, with 150 mm and 130 mm travel respectively. The Triumph gets a more premium setup with 43 mm USD forks and a rear monoshock, both offering 150 mm travel.
Braking setup is strong on both. The Yezdi gets a 320 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc with ABS. The Triumph uses a 320 mm front disc with a radial caliper and a 230 mm rear disc, also with ABS.
In terms of dimensions, the Yezdi is lighter at 174 kg, compared to the Triumph’s 185 kg. It also has a lower seat height of 813 mm, making it more accessible. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X has 835 mm seat height.
The Yezdi Scrambler is priced from Rs 1.99 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X starts at around Rs 2.59 lakh, ex-showroom.
