58th Grammy Awards 2016: Best moments

Lady Gaga paid a tribute to the late David Bowie at Grammy awards

Lady Gaga nailed it with her energetic performance. She held everyone captive with her colourful attire on the stage, at the red carpet and also on the back stage. She was at her best when she performed. Appearing with her blonde hair dyed orange, the singer was introduced on stage by Ed Sheeran. As she began to sing, 'Space Oddity,' a lightning bolt and a spider crawling out of her eye were projected onto her face.

Taylors' winning speech

Taylor Swift finally addressed Kanye West's 'Famous' lyrics controversy while accepting her Grammy trophy for the Album of the Year. The singer, who did not name Kanye directly in her speech, called out to young girls against those who "will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments." Kanye West and Taylor Swift have a history. The rapper had infamously jumped to stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video win at the 2009 MTV VMAs to say that the award should have gone to Beyoncé. Taylor, in her speech said, "As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame...but if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world."

Selena and Taylor: Best Friends Forever

Selena Gomez stood by Taylor Swift throughout the award function. Be it Taylor Swift’s opening performance or be it her closing winning speech, Selena was constantly by her best friend’s side. They both walked together on the red carpet, shared the green room and also the stage. One of the highlights of the evening was watching Selena watch her friend's victory. Selena was in the audience when her best friends' name was announced as the winner. She was all happy, teary and proud of Taylor when she was announced as the winner. What caught the attention was Selena's proud look into the camera while Taylor was on the stage receiving her award. Cheers to their friendship!

Ed Sheeran received the award from the visually challenged music legend, Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder could read the winner's name as it was written in Braille. Wonder said that we should make sure that everything is accessible for people with disability. Ed Sheeran, too, reacted to the fact that he was being presented with the Grammy for Song Of The Year by Stevie Wonder. Speaking on stage, while accepting the award, he said, "If you would have told me 11, five, any age, that I'd receive an award from Stevie Wonder I'd be chuffed." He also spoke about writing the song and his parents' trips to previous Grammy ceremonies. "We wrote (this song) on a couch in my house after dinner," he explained.
