However, his return to the White House included a moment of levity and tradition.

While seated at the Resolute Desk, signing his first set of orders, President Trump was reminded of a long-standing presidential tradition by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy. The reporter asked whether Joe Biden had left a letter for Trump, a custom observed by outgoing presidents as a gesture of goodwill to their successors.

Initially caught off guard, Trump paused, opened the main drawer of the desk, and pulled out an envelope marked with the number "47." With a hint of surprise, he exclaimed, "Oh," admitting he might not have discovered the letter for months if not for the reporter's timely reminder.

The lighthearted exchange briefly shifted focus from policy to tradition as Trump teased the idea of reading the note aloud to the assembled reporters. Ultimately, he set the letter aside, leaving its contents a mystery for now.
