Israel-Hamas war: Israeli tanks manoeuvre inside the Gaza Strip

Israeli forces have initiated ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. Recent satellite images from Planet Labs shed light on the extent of Israel's ground invasion into Gaza.

The area around Gaza City has seen the movement of Israeli tanks and vehicles in multiple directions, but direct combat within the city itself has been avoided to delay the most dangerous clashes and keep military options open.

Israeli forces have reached as far south as the neighborhood of Al Karama, north of Gaza City, causing significant destruction.

The images show numerous armored vehicles moving through open fields and gathering in urban areas.

Buildings have been heavily damaged and destroyed by airstrikes causing extensive damage to nearby buildings, leaving hundreds of visible craters, including in homes and on roads, and resulting in the flattening of apartment blocks.
