​Trains and flights cancelled​

Amid heavy snowfall, long-distance trains and hundreds of flights in and out of Munich were cancelled on Saturday. (AFP)

​Around 320 flights were cancelled

According to the official statement, around 320 of 760 flights planned for Saturday were cancelled so far. The statement on its website read, flights were not scheduled to depart or arrive at Munich airport until at least 12 pm (1100 GMT). (AFP)

Advisory for travellers​

Due to heavy snowfall, trains could not arrive at Munich's central train station. Deutsche Bahn's website added that the halt was expected to last all day, advising travellers to rebook their trips. (AFP)
