Park Min Young, the popular South Korean actress known for her outstanding performances in hits like ‘Healer’, ‘What's Wrong with Secretary Kim’, and ‘Her Private Life’, is set to take the lead in the highly anticipated remake of the Japanese drama ‘The Confidence Man’. This new series, adapted from the popular Japanese crime comedy that originally starred Nagasawa Masami and Higashide Masahiro, is going to bring a fresh twist to the story of three cunning fraudsters who team up to deceive those with sinister intentions, including mafia bosses and corrupt corporations.

The news, reportedly confirmed by a JTBC official on July 23, reveals that Park Min Young will headline the show, which is being directed by Nam Ki Hoon. Nam, known for his work on projects such as ‘Destined with You’, ‘Oh My Baby’, ‘Big Bet’, and ‘Tunnel’, will bring his directorial expertise to the series. The script will be penned by Hong Seung Hyun, who has a notable background with dramas like ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘Cheo Yong’.

Park Min Young, who first appeared on the scene in 2006 with ‘Unstoppable High Kick’ and made her film debut in ‘The Cat’ in 2011, has consistently impressed audiences with her acting talent. Her recent role in the globally successful revenge series ‘Marry My Husband’ showcased her range, reminding everyone why she is one of South Korea's top actresses. In addition to her role in ‘The Confidence Man’, Park Min Young will also be starring in the upcoming drama ‘Braveness of the Ming’.
